Resort description:

The salt mine in Bochnia is one of the oldest salt mines in Poland active since 1248. Nowadays, it is visited by tourists anxious for sensation and who want to improve the state of their health. After almost eight centuries of exploitation, the mine is the oldest production plant in Europe functioning without interruption. It reminds of a vast underground city full of mystery and unique places. On the tourist route you can see historic chapels, unique salt chambers, original mining tools and devices.
The salt mine is not only an original place for trips but also a resort. Above the ground we also offer the Hotel Sutoris and the Rehabilitation Centre. Guests are offered 102 accomodation places in single, double and triple rooms and studio type rooms. All rooms contain bathrooms and are equipped with a TV set, a telephone and access to the Internet.
Thanks to healing properties of air in salt chambers, stays in the mine are recommended to people suffering from diseases of upper respiratory tract, asthma and various allergies (treatment stays).
Rehabilitation stays are aimed at helping people with neurological and rheumatoidal problems and locomotor system dysfunctions.
We also invite people who search simply for an interesting place to spend package holidays in.
